The contours almost resemble a 2nd gen F-body, with a faux older nose on and maybe stretched. Since that's unlikely to be it, I don't have any idea.

Charger, 73-74

Edit nevermind, windows don't line up. Stand by.

'73-'74 Plymouth Road Runner. This is it.

Seems to be a somewhat modified Mustang Mach 1

Looks to me like a 71-75 Satellite/RoadRunner.

What part of the world do you reside in? This is important.

The Plymouth variation of the body seems to match up.

Canada. In Montreal, Quebec to be more precise.

Indeed. '73-'74 Road Runner. I knew it had to be a fuselage Chrysler, and it screams B-Body, I just chose the wrong model

My first thought was Gran Torino actually but the more I looked at it I thought Chrysler fuselage and I know the rear windows on the Charger sweep up.

Indeed, the lower body matches much better than the 72 I posted.

Good to hear. I know Chrysler had some bad ideas in the 70s, but damn...

The car you're showing is a '74 Satellite Road Runner. Not a '71-73 or a '75.

How do I know? The '71-72 had a different nose with a loop-type integrated bumper/grille. So that rules those two years out.

I notice that the rear bumper stands out from the body, with a rubber molding separating the bumper from the body. This wasn't present on the '73, but was added to the '74 to make it compliant with the new 5mph rear bumper impact standard that went into effect for MY1974. So that rules the '73 out.

Kinja'd!!!

And this is the '75 Fury Road Runner. It was totally reskinned, with a different nose, tail, and roof line. The Fury name replaced the Satellite name for '75, as the big Furys became Gran Furys that year.

So 1974, it is.

Excellent deduction! I would have never looked to the rear bumper - I didn't know that change existed in '74.

Yup. Kind of an obscure fact, but the bumper standards made spotting '72s, '73s, and '74s easy.

In 1973, the rear bumper standard went to 2.5mph from none in '72. For '74, it went to 5mph. So almost every car offered in America got either a redesigned rear bumper (most with a revised rear fascia to go with it), or a modified one with big, black rubber bumper guards and rubber moldings.

Looking at the interior would help, too, since 3-point retractable seat belts became the Federal standard for '74. Pre-1974 models had detachable shoulder straps you had to fold up into visors in the roof above the door windows.

Kinda like how you can tell a '67 Camaro (or any car that wasn't substantially updated between 1967 and '68) from a '68 by looking for the side marker lights/reflectors. They were required in '68.

For 1985, the Pontiac Parisienne got a redesigned rear with the same panels as the '77-80 Bonneville. For 1986, that rear end added the Federally mandated CHMSL. There wasn't an '87. So the Federal equipment makes spotting which year is which pretty easy.

Always amazes me how much effort some people go to in making their cars hideous.
